McCaffery Points to Turnovers as Reason for Collapse
AMES, Iowa – Iowa Coach Fran McCaffery pointed to turnovers as the reason his team relinquished a large second-half lead Thursday night here at Hilton Coliseum in falling, 83-82, to rival Iowa State.
The second-ranked Cyclones scored the game’s final nine points and held a 30-19 advantage in point off of turnovers. Iowa (7-3) turned it over 17 times.
