IOWA CITY, Iowa – Only a high school sophomore, Denver Warren already has an impressive list of scholarship offers for football.
And it grew on Thursday when Iowa extended an offer to the 2020 defensive lineman.
“It felt great,” Warren said. “I love the school. It’s amazing and I can’t wait to visit. Their football program and the way they do things is amazing. I love it.”
The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Warren has yet to visit Iowa City, but is eager to learn more about the program and about the academics that Iowa provides.
“(I want to see) the energy and vibe of the players and if they have a good business and communicating school,” Warren said. “And I want to see if I can feel myself spending the next four years there.”
A native of Aurora, Ill., warren also has begun to develop a relationship with Iowa assistant defensive line coach Kelvin Bell, who also serves as Iowa's recruiting coordinator.
“I talked to the defensive line coach,” Warren said. “He’s really down to earth.”
Warren also has scholarship offers from Boston College, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Michigan State, Syracuse, Toledo and Wisconsin.
