IOWA CITY, Iowa – It took until the final game of the regular season, but the Iowa football team finally won a close game.

Senior kicker Miguel Recinos knocked through a 41-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Hawkeyes to a 31-28 victory in Kinnick Stadium.

Iowa retained possession of the Hy-Vee Heroes Trophy and won its fourth consecutive game over Nebraska.

Iowa improved to 8-4 overall and 5-4 in Big Ten play.
