IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa football team will face Southern Cal for the 10th time on Saturday in the Holiday Bowl.
The game will be held at SDCCU Stadium in San Diego, Calif., at 7 p.m. and will be televised by FS1.
USC currently holds a 7-2 advantage in the series with Iowa.
The last matchup between the two teams was a 38-17 USC win in the 2003 Orange Bowl.

USC – Iowa connection: In its history, USC has had 10 lettermen from Iowa: Ward Browning 1932-34) of Sioux City; Joel Crisman (1990-93) of Grundy Center; Clarke DeGroot (1924-26) of Humboldt; Robert Erskine (1931-33) of Ottumwa; William J. Gill (1934-35) of Des Moines; Robert Hendren (1946-48) of Clarinda; Pete Kalinich (1939) of Waterloo; Jim Phillips (1983) of Des Moines, who transferred to USC from Iowa; Alfred Plaehn (1930-32) of Reinbeck; Howard Stoecker (1937-39) of Mason City. Also, Rudy Bukich (1951-52) transferred to USC from Iowa State.
Howard Jones also coached both Iowa and USC. Jones coached Iowa to a 42-17-1 record from 1916-23 and led USC to a 121-36-13 record from 1925-40. Jones won two Big Ten championships at Iowa in 1921 and 1922.
