2021 defensive lineman Daine Hanson ‘honored’ to meet Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Three-star defensive lineman Daine Hanson enjoyed everything about his visit to Iowa last weekend.
But one thing in particular stood out the most to the 2021 LaGrange Park, Ill. native.
It was an honor to meet with such a high honored coach as coach Ferentz,” Hanson said. “It was like sitting in the presence of a legend. We just talked about what it takes to be an Iowa Hawkeye and how good of a player I am and how I can develop. Also, about Iowa’s success academically and athletically.”
It was the first visit to Iowa for the 6-foot-7, 240-pound Hanson, who enjoyed the opportunity to get a closer look at what the program had to offer.
“I’ve always known they had major success but just hearing stat from stat was crazy for sure,” Hanson said.
Hanson currently holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State and Northern Illinois but was hesitant to rank the three schools.
“Right now I don’t have a favorite,” Hanson said. “Every school to me is the same, but if I were to rank my offers Iowa State and Iowa are way about Northern Illinois right now.”
