IOWA CITY, Iowa – Sophomore receiver Calvin Lockett became the third player to leave the Iowa football program in less than a week Tuesday, according to the Rivals NCAA Transfer Portal Twitter account.
Lockett, a native of Largo, Fla., joined Iowa as a three-star receiver in the 2018 recruiting class, but never saw any game action.
Iowa announced Oct. 29 that redshirt freshmen Shadrick Byrd and Yahweh Jeudy elected to transfer.
Jeudy, a native of Pompano Beach, Fla., never saw game action at Iowa, while Byrd, a native of Alabaster, Ala., played on special teams in Iowa’s 2020 season opener against Purdue.
Lockett’s high school coach was former Iowa defensive back Marcus Paschal.
