IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa football team has received a verbal commitment from defensive end Chase Brackney, a junior at Cherry Creek High School in Colorado.

That is the same high school from which Iowa quarterback Alex Padilla graduated.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Brackney, according to Rivals, has at least 10 scholarship offers from schools that include Nebraska, the University of Southern California, California-Berkeley and Colorado among others.
