IOWA CITY, IA – Four months until the season starts, but it is never too early to talk hoops right?

Today the defending Big Ten tournament champs talked with media about an abundance of things.

First up, Head Coach Fran McCaffery. Since we last talked to coach a lot has happened.

Former Hawkeye Keegan Murray blossomed in the summer, Matt Gatens joined the staff as an assistant coach, and many of the younger players are expanding their game day by day. Check out everything coach has to say here:

We also had a chance to talk to returnee Kris Murray, along with true freshmen Josh Dix and Dasonte Bowen.

Kris has had a busy summer after going through the NBA draft evaluation process with his brother and opting to stay in school.

Josh Dix is working hard to make sure he can suit up at the beginning of the season after a broken leg cut his senior season of high school basketball short.

While Boston native Dasonte Bowen is competing for minutes in a very tough guard room. Check out what all three had to say today here:
