Video: Postgame after 27-14 loss to Michigan moves Hawkeyes to 3-2
By Dallas Jones
IOWA CITY, IA – This years Hawkeye football is on pace to go down in the history books, not in a good way.
A historically bad offense so far this season looked the part today in their loss to the fourth ranked Michigan Wolverines.
Now a late surge in the fourth may make the game look better in the box score, but the Hawkeye offense failed to score any points in the first three quarters and only totaled five first downs the entire first half.
Missed throws, penalties, and lack of an established run game were the culprits once again. The Hawkeye put a couple drives together in the fourth to put some pressure on the Wolverines, but after a turnover on downs in the redzone the game was all but over.
On top of that, the Iowa defense struggled for the first time all year. 27 points is the most they have allowed since the Big Ten title game against the Wolverines last season. Now it is time to reset and prepare for the 4-1 Fighting Illini.
