Hawkeyes Offer Julian Marks During Visit
'25 Kansas DL Discusses Iowa Football
Julian Marks will remember October of 2022 fondly. The Overland Park (KS) St. Thomas Aquinas defensive lineman picked up his first two scholarships offers this month.
Kansas came forward first when it extended an opportunity to him on Oct. 8. Iowa jumped in on Saturday during his unofficial campus visit. He saw the Hawkeyes blow by Northwestern, 33-13, at a sold out Kinnick Stadium.
“The environment was electrifying,” he told HF. “It’s what stood out to me the most about the visit.”
Marks (6-7, 255) appreciated Iowa believing in him.
“It was exciting to get my first Big Ten offer,” he said.
The Hawkeyes saw a prep sophomore with a high ceiling.
“They said they like giving youngins a chance,” Marks said.
Marks has racked up 13 tackles (8 solo, 2 for loss), three pass breakups, a quarterback hurry and a forced fumble this season. His playing time has increased as the campaign has advanced.
He liked what he saw from Iowa’s defense on Saturday.
“I would fit well because the D-Line sets the tone, and they’re aggressive,” he said.
