Hawk Fanatic podcast: UI star athletes Kat Moody, Austin Kresley, Nia Carter all make guest appearances
IOWA CITY, Iowa – It was a full guest list on Wednesday as Iowa track and field stars Kat Moody and Austin Kresley, and Iowa softball star Nia Carter all made guest appearances on the Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast.
Moody talked about winning both the shot put and discus at the Drake Relays this past weekend, while Kresley talked about his rise as a sprinter, and Carter talked about her success as a hitter.
Kresley holds the school record in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races, while Carter leads the Iowa softball team with a .481 batting average.
Moody appears first on the show, and about 15 minutes into the two-hour podcast. Kresley comes on about 30 minutes into the podcast, followed by Carter approximately one hour into the show.
Kresley and Carter are both from California and they talked about why they chose to attend the University of Iowa, and about what makes Iowa so special.
Moody grew up much closer to Iowa City in Waukee. She addressed multiple topics, including the technical part of being a thrower.
