Ryan Daly Pleased with Iowa Camp Performance
FL DL Receives Solid Feedback from Hawkeye Staff
Ryan Daly long has been on Iowa Football’s radar. He’s visited campus and built a strong bond with assistant Ladell Betts.
Saturday, Daly again made the long journey from his Florida home to camp with the Hawkeyes. The Venice (FL) High defensive tackle put his best foot forward.
“I performed really well,” Daly told HF. “I won all my reps and performed well in the speed and agility drills. I am really fast off of the line and can get past the O-Line quick.”

Daly (6-2, 275) enjoyed working with Iowa defensive line coach Kelvin Bell and receiving feedback.
“He was very complimentary of me during the camp. He advised me to continue working on my technique, especially against kids not as advanced as me,” Daly said.

Betts recruits Florida for the program. He also sees the potential in Daly.
No matter what happens down the line between Daly and the Hawkeyes, he saw the value in attending their camp.
“There were a lot of kids at the camp. It was as much about teaching as it was performing. The coaches took time to teach skills and do drills,” he said.
Daly will be busy at camps the rest of the month. He’s scheduled to be at Wake Forest, Florida Atlantic, Duke, South Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pittsburgh and Rutgers.
