Iowa women will face Virginia Tech in Ally Tipoff Sunday in Charlotte, N.C.
The Iowa women’s basketball team will play on the road for the first time under new head coach Jan Jensen when it faces Virginia Tech on Sunday in the Ally Tipoff in Charlotte, N.C.
Iowa, which finished as the NCAA runner-up in each of the past two seasons, defeated Northern Illinois 91-73 in the season opener this past Wednesday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Villanova transfer Lucy Olsen led six Iowa players in double figures with 19 points. She also had seven assists and one steal.
Iowa has six first-year players on its 2024-25 roster, including five freshmen.
Megan Duffy is also in her first season as the Virginia Tech head coach. She was previously the head coach for Marquette for the past five seasons.
North Carolina State and defending national champion South Carolina will meet in the first game with tipoff set for 2 p.m. CST.
