Cade McNamara answers rumors surrounding injury and team status on social media

IOWA CITY, IOWA – Cade McNamara’s career as an Iowa quarterback has been a struggle, but contrary to what some might think, it isn’t over.
McNamara suffered a concussion in Iowa’s victory over Northwestern on Oct. 26 and hasn’t played since, nor will he play against Maryland on Saturday. McNamara also recently had what he describes as an adverse reaction, which he said is common for someone coming out of concussion protocol.
McNamara also missed the final nine games last season after suffering a season-ending knee injury.
There have been rumors spreading on social media that McNamara had recently left the team, this was his response this afternoon:
