Ankeny Centennial RB Braeden Jackson commits to Iowa’s 2025 recruiting class as preferred walk-on

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Ankeny Centennial running back Braeden Jackson has committed to the Iowa football team’s 2025 recruiting class as a preferred walk-on.
Jackson is the son of former Coe College and NFL running back Fred Jackson.
“First and foremost, I just want to thank God for allowing me to be in the position I am in today and blessing me with the opportunities I have been given,” Jackson wrote on social media. “Thank you to my family for being with me throughout this whole process and supporting me all the way. I need to give a huge thank you to my coaches for advocating for me and my future coaches for believing in me. With that being said I would like to announce my commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of lowa!”
Jackson finished the 2024 season with 1,402 rushing yards, 288 receiving yards and 274 return yards. He scored 27 total touchdowns on the season.
