IOWA CITY, Iowa – The end of each season also means the end to another senior class, and with that always comes lots of emotion.
The seniors on the Iowa women’s basketball team will be honored after Sunday’s regular-season finale against Wisconsin at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
Iowa improved to 19-9 overall and 9-8 in the Big Ten with Wednesday’s 79-66 win at Michigan.
Iowa’s seniors met with the media on Thursday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena as they reflected on their careers, and on what it means to be a Hawkeye, with each having a different story to tell.
Graduate guard Lucy Olsen is nearing the end of her first and only season with the Hawkeyes, while senior forward Syd Affolter has been a Hawkeye since the beginning of her college career and has participated in two national championship games over four seasons.
First-year Iowa head coach Jan Jensen also met with the media on Thursday.
