IOWA CITY, Iowa – Add senior center Riley Mulvey to the growing list of Iowa players that either have or plan to enter the transfer portal since Fran McCaffery was fired as the Iowa head coach last Friday.
Mulvey announced his decision to enter the portal Tuesday morning on social media.
“After I complete my degree at the University of Iowa, I have decided to enter the transfer portal as a grad student, but I will always be a Hawkeye at heart,” Mulvey said.
Mulvey appeared in 19 games this past season with two starts. The New York native averaged 2.2 points and 1.9 rebound per game.
Mulvey is the fourth Iowa player to enter the portal since Fran McCaffery was let go.
The others are sophomore forwards Owen Freeman and Pryce Sandfort and sophomore point guard Brock Harding.
