IOWA CITY, Iowa – Freshman forward Cooper Koch has entered the transfer portal, continuing the dismantling of the Iowa roster in the wake of Fran McCaffery being fired as the Iowa head coach last Friday.
Koch is the sixth Iowa player to enter the portal since Fran McCaffery was let go.
The others are sophomore forwards Owen Freeman and Pryce Sandfort, sophomore point guard Brock Harding, senior center Riley Mulvey and junior guard Josh Dix, who announced his decision to enter the portal a few hours before Koch’s announcement on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-8 Koch, who is the son of former Iowa player J.R. Koch, battled with health issues throughout the season and only appeared in 10 games.
