IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa junior guard Josh Dix has entered the transfer portal and will likely be in high demand.
Dix, a 6-foot-6 native of Council Bluffs, was Iowa’s third leading scorer this season, averaging 14.4 points per game. He also finished second on the team with 65 3-point baskets while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range.
Dix is ranked by On3 as the No. 1 overall player in the portal.
He is also the latest in a growing list of Iowa players that have entered the transfer portal since Fran McCaffery was fired as the Iowa head coach last Friday.
Sophomore forward Owen Freeman was the first Iowa player to enter the portal since Fran McCaffery was fired, followed by sophomore point guard Brock Harding, sophomore forward Pryce Sandfort, senior center Riley Mulvey and now Dix.
