Report: Iowa freshman point guard Aaliyah Guyton will enter transfer portal

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Aaliyah Guyton’s decision to enter the transfer portal as a freshman point guard might explain help to why Arizona guard Jada Williams recently visited Iowa.
Talia Goodman from On3 was the first to report on Monday that Guyton plans to enter the transfer portal.
The 5-foot-7 Guyton, who is the daughter of former Indiana guard A.J. Guyton, averaged 4.7 points in 29 games for Iowa this past season with one one start.
Guyton missed almost her entire high school basketball senior season in high school due to a knee injury.
She figured to be a key piece of Iowa’s backcourt moving forward under head coach Jan Jensen, but that apparently won’t happen.
The 5-7 Williams, meanwhile, averaged 12.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists for Arizona this past season.
Williams also recently visited Iowa State and reportedly has interest in Baylor.
