IOWA CITY, Iowa – One of the top offensive lineman at the Division II level has committed to the Iowa football team.
Bryce George, who is listed at 6 feet 5 inches and 315 pounds, picked Iowa over USC and California, according to multiple reports. Pete Nakos from On3 was the first to report the news on Friday.
George played on three Division II national title-winning teams at Ferris State. The Detroit, Michigan native made 41 appearances in his Ferris State career.
Last season, George was named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America First Team, along with being named to the Associated Press All-America Second Team.
George will join an Iowa offensive line that returns three starters from last season, including All-Big Ten center Logan Jones.
