Hawk Fanatic podcast: Lisa Bluder addresses multiple topics in guest appearance
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Lisa Bluder shocked the college basketball world when she announced her retirement as the Iowa women’s basketball coach on May 13.
Bluder had just led Iowa to an NCAA runner-up finish for the second straight season barely a month earlier when she stepped down.
She retired at the peak of her career because she felt it was the right time to move on to the next chapter in her life.
We caught up with Bluder on Friday as she made a guest appearance on the Hawkeye Fanatic/KCJJ radio show and podcast.
Bluder addressed multiple topics, including her reasons for retiring, her plans for the future, the hiring of Jan Jensen as her replacement, and of course, the greatness of Caitlin Clark and Clark’s transition to the WNBA.
We appreciate Lisa Bluder taking time to speak with us.
