Former Iowa defensive back Julius Brents will transfer to Kansas State
Indianapolis native played mostly on special team this season
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Former Iowa defensive back Julius Brents has found a new home.
The Indianapolis native announced Tuesday on Twitter that he will transfer to Kansas State to continue his football career.
Brents played extensively in Iowa’s season-opening loss at Purdue, but his role was reduced to where he appeared mostly on special teams after that. He played in seven of Iowa’s eight games this season and finished with four tackles.
He played in 11 games as a true freshman in 2018 and finished with eight tackles, one interception and three pass break-ups.
Brents only saw action in one games in 2019 due to an injury and was redshirted.
He has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
