St. Louis 3-star offensive lineman Lucas Allgeyer commits to Iowa’s 2025 class
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa football team’s 2025 recruiting class received a significant boost on Sunday with the addition of two offensive linemen.
St. Louis native Lucas Allgeyer announced his commitment to Iowa late Sunday afternoon, and just several hours after Indianapolis offensive lineman Cameron Herron had announced for the Hawkeyes.
Allgeyer picked Iowa over an impressive list of scholarship offers from schools that include Washington, Nebraska, Michigan State, Iowa State, Kansas State, Miami (Fla.), North Carolina State and Northwestern among others.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pound Allgeyer is ranked as a three-star prospect by On3Sports, Rivals and 247.
Herron is also ranked as a three-star recruit and he picked Iowa over scholarship offers from Northwestern, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Boston College and Louisville.
Iowa now has 10 players committed to its 2025 recruiting class, including three offensive linemen.
Pleasant Valley offensive lineman Joey VanWetzinga was the first player to commit to Iowa’s 2025 class.
