EVANSTON, Ill. – C.J. Beathard became the first Iowa quarterback to win the first seven starts of his career when he led the No. 17 Hawkeyes to a 40-10 against No. 20 Northwestern Saturday here at Ryan Field.

Beathard practiced little this week but gutted it out for his team before hobbling off the field in the fourth quarter and the game in hand.
