IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa basketball coach Fran McCaffery and several of his players met with the media on Tuesday afternoon. The interview topics included Thursday’s game at Maryland, Iowa being ranked third in the AP poll and a letter of support from Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz to McCaffery.

The Hawkeyes, with records of 16-3 overall and 7-0 in the Big Ten, have won nine games in a row and have their highest ranking since 1987. This also marks just the second time that Iowa has been 7-0 in Big Ten play. The first time happened in 1970 when Ralph Miller’s legendary "Six Pack" finished 14-0.
