IOWA CITY, Iowa – For the first time since 2014, the Iowa football team has lost a regular-season game.
Five-time defending FCS national champion North Dakota State proved it was was as good as advertised in defeating the 13th-ranked Hawkeyes 23-21 before a sellout crowd of 70,585 on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
The Bison rushed for 239 yards while holding Iowa to just 34 yards on the ground.
North Dakota State also dominated time of possession by over 13 minutes.
