IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa men's basketball team extended its winning streak to five games by pounding Delaware State 89-57 on Thursday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. 

Iowa improved to 8-5 on the season and now faces a a much bigger challenge in its next game against Purdue in the Big Ten opener next Wednesday in West Lafayette, Ind.
