AH TV: Iowa players talk about facing Wyoming QB Josh Allen
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa defense will face a stiff test in Saturday's opener against Wyoming.
The Cowboys are led by 6-foot-5, 240-pound junior quarterback Josh Allen, who is expected to be one of the first players selected in the 2018 NFL draft, assuming he leaves school early.
Allen passed for 3,203 yards and 28 touchdowns last season. But he also threw 15 interceptions and is known to take some chances. Allen is also a threat to run as he rushed for 523 yards last season.
Here are interviews with members of the Iowa defense from Tuesday's press conference. They talk about the challenge of facing a star quarterback right out of the gate.
Iowa running back James Butler also talks about facing Wyoming for a third time. The graduate transfer played against the Cowboys twice while at Nevada, losing both times.
