Three-star linebacker Nick Henrich taking his time with decision

IOWA CITY, Iowa – While many recruits jump at scholarship opportunities, Nebraska linebacker Nick Henrich is taking his time.
Henrich, a three-star linebacker according to Rivals, has scholarship offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska and Ohio, but isn't naming any favorites just yet.
"I don't have a particular order of where schools stand right now," said Henrich, who visited Iowa City this past weekend. "I'm just focused on the season."
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Henrich had visited Iowa before this past weekend, but had never seen a game in person at Kinnick Stadium until Saturday.
Henrich enjoyed seeing how the Iowa football team prepares before a game.
"This was my first game visit so it was cool to be able to watch the warmups on the sidelines and see what they did," Henrich said.
A native of Omaha, Neb., Henrich said the Iowa coaches like the speed and versatility that he brings to the linebacker position.
"They like how I play the game and my speed," Henrich said. "They have said they think I could play any three of the linebacker positions."
Henrich has a connection to Iowa with his father having played tennis for the Hawkeyes. However, the younger Henrich said his father has not tried to push him to commit to Iowa and is more concerned with his son finding the right fit.
"He's been great," Henrich said. "He just wants me to go wherever is best for me."
Henrich said he isn't sure when he will make a decision about college and has no timetable for picking a school.
Iowa currently has four players committed to its 2019 recruiting class.
