2020 receiver Jadon Thompson has Iowa near the top after offer

IOWA CITY, Iowa – As a Chicago native, Jadon Thompson is no stranger to the Iowa football program.
Iowa now is a bigger blip on the 2020 receiver's radar after recently offering him a scholarship.
"It was an honor to get the offer," Thompson said. "Always dreamed of getting offers from a big time school like Iowa.
"It's a great program for football. They've always had my eye."
The 6-foot-2, 155-pound Thompson has always admired the style with which Iowa plays under Kirk Ferentz, who is entering his 20th season as head coach.
"The energy and swagger (caught my eye)," Thompson said. "I love energy and swagger. It brings your game to a whole new level."
Thompson also has Power Five offers from Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota and Purdue.
Thompson said that he isn't choosing any favorites currently, but Iowa will be a contender when that time comes.
"Honestly all schools are equal right now," Thompson said. "But when it comes down to breaking my list down Iowa will be in the top."
Thompson also said he's looking to set up a visit to Iowa to get a feel for the environment and to build relationships with the coaching staff.
