AH TV: Fran McCaffery, Iowa players talk about 72-62 win over No. 16 Ohio State on Saturday
IOWA CITY, Iowa – It may have been ugly, but the Iowa basketball team won a turnover-riddled matchup 72-62 over 16th-ranked Ohio State on Saturday.
The Hawkeyes improved to 14-3 overall and 3-3 in Big Ten play behind 15 points from junior forward Tyler Cook in a game in which both teams combined for 35 turnovers and 14-for-41 shooting from three point range.
Unfortunately for Iowa, the 6-foot-9 Cook took a nasty spill late in the second half and hobbled to the locker room.
On a more positive note, junior guard Jordan Bohannon joined Iowa's 1,000 point club finishing with six points on 1-for-7 shooting.
Iowa also received a spark from junior forward Ryan Kriener who scored 11 points in 13 minutes and was a key contributor on defense.
