AH podcast: Former Michigan running back Jamie Morris breaks down Saturday’s game in the Big House
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Former Michigan running back Jamie Morris was our guest on Wednesday's Allhawkeyes/KCJJ radio show and podcast.
His interview starts about 15 minutes into the podcast and lasts for nearly 30 minutes.
Morris shares his thoughts on Saturday's game between Iowa and Michigan at the Big House in Ann Arbor, and what he thinks the keys to winning will be for both teams.
He also talks about whether he believes pressure is building on Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, and if Harbaugh can meet the high expectations.
Harbaugh is in his fifth season as head coach at his alma mater and has led Michigan to three 10-3 seasons, and to an 8-5 record last season.
But the Wolverines are winless against Ohio State and have just one win over Michigan State under Harbaugh, who played quarterback for Michigan from 1983-86.
Morris and Harbaugh were teammates at Michigan for three seasons, and were both key players for Michigan's 1985 team that lost to Iowa 12-10 at Kinnick Stadium in a much-anticipated matchup between the top two ranked teams in the country.
Morris played at Michigan from 1984-87 and led the Wolverines in rushing in each of his four seasons. He was the only Michigan player to have accomplished that until Mike Hart did so from 2004-07.
Morris also still holds the Michigan record for all-purpose yards with 6,201, including 4,392 rushing yards.
We appreciate him being our guest and listening to his unique insight.
