Nick Niemann selected by Chargers in sixth round of NFL Draft

Former Iowa linebacker Nick Niemann moved one step closer to joining his brother in the NFL.
The 6-foot-4, 233-pound Niemann was selected in the sixth round by the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.
Niemann’s brother, Ben Niemann, also played linebacker at Iowa and has been a member of the Kansas City Chiefs since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
Their father, Jay Niemann, is the assistant defensive line coach and defensive recruiting coordinator at Iowa.
Nick Niemann played in 45 games as a Hawkeye and had 157 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and an interception.
