Hawk Fanatic podcast: Don Patterson talks Hawkeye football and more
Iowa freshman soccer phenom Berit Parten also makes guest appearance
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Don Patterson made his usual and much-anticipated Monday appearance on the Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast.
The former Iowa assistant coach under Hayden Fry looks back at Saturday’s 32-20 loss at Michigan State and forward to this coming Saturday’s game against Northwestern at Kinnick Stadium.
Don evaluates the performance of Iowa quarterback Cade McNamara, who completed less than 50 percent of his passes against Michigan Sate, and the Iowa defense, which gave up 468 yards, including 212 rushing yards.
Don Patterson was also the head coach for Western Illinois from 1999 to 2009 and an assistant coach for Buffalo and UConn.
His segment starts at the beginning of the podcast and lasts for one hour.
We also had a second guest on Monday’s show as Iowa freshman soccer phenom Berit Parten joined us 90 minutes into the podcast. The Minnesota native leads No. 14 Iowa with seven goals this season.
It was fun getting to know her a little bit.
