Hawk Fanatic podcast: Don Patterson talks Iowa spring football
By Hawk Fanatic
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Don Patterson made a guest appearance on Monday’s Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast to talk about Hawkeye spring football.
Don attended this past Saturday’s open practice at Kinnick Stadium and he shares his thoughts about what he observed.
He was encouraged by the performances of Iowa’s wide receivers and with how often the quarterbacks threw downfield during the two-hour practice, which marked the end of spring practice.
Don Patterson coached under Hayden Fry for 20 seasons at Iowa, including serving as Fry’s offensive coordinator from 1992 to 1998 when Fry retired.
Don was also the head coach for Western Illinois from 1999 to 2009.
He makes a regular guest appearance each Monday throughout the college football season, and we look forward to having Don as a guest this coming season.
