Hawk Fanatic podcast: Iowa guard Brendan Hausen makes guest appearance
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa senior guard Brendan Hausen made his first quest appearance on the Hawk Fanatic/KCJJ radio show and podcast Wednesday morning.
The Amarillo, Texas native is among 12 newcomers on Iowa’s 2025-26 Iowa roster.
Ben McCollum was hired as the Iowa head coach last March after having led Drake to a 31-4 record in his only season as head coach last season.
McCollum basically has had to build the roster almost from the ground up with redshirt freshman Cooper Koch the only scholarship player leftover over from the Fran McCaffery coaching era.
Hausen played for Kansas State this past season after having started his college career at Villanova.
His ability to make 3-pointers should be a key part of Iowa’s offense.
The Hawkeyes will face Robert Morris in the season opener next Tuesday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Iowa junior forward Alvaro Folgueiras played for Robert Morris the past two seasons and was named the conference player of the year last season.
