IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa All-Big Ten point guard Bennett Stirtz was the guest on Wednesday’s Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast.

The Liberty, Missouri native appears at the beginning of the 90-minute podcast and addresses multiple topics for about 20 minutes, including, of course, Friday’s game against Clemson in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Tampa, Florida.

Iowa (21-12) is seeded ninth in the South Region, while Clemson (24-10) is the No. 8 seed.

Bennett also talks about his relationship with Iowa head coach Ben McCollum; a relationship that started when McCollum recruited Bennett to play for him at Division II Northwest Missouri State.

Bennett has since followed McCollum to Drake where they joined forces to finish 31-4 last season, and now to Iowa where McCollum is just the second head coach in program history to make the NCAA Tournament in year one, joining Tom Davis.
