IOWA CITY, Iowa – Dani Carnegie and Chit-Chat Wright will once again be college teammates.
Carnegie, a 5-foot-9 guard who played for Georgia this past season, has committed to Iowa where Chit-Chat Wright just finished her first season as the starting point guard.
Carnegie and Wright played together at Georgia Tech as freshmen in the 2024-25 season.

Carnegie averaged 17.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists as a sophomore for Georgia this past season. She was named first-team All-Southeastern Conference.
Iowa has lost five players to the transfer portal since the end of the 2025-26 season, while Carnegie is the first player to commit to Iowa from the portal since the season ended.
All five of the former Iowa players that entered the portal either play guard exclusively, or in the cases of Emely Rodriguez and Teagan Mallegni, are a shooting guard/small forward.
Carnegie, who is from Mount Vernon, New York, has two seasons of eligibility.
She already has played one game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena as Georgia fell to Virginia, 82-73, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on March 21. Carnegie scored eight points in the loss, shooting just 3-of-13 from field and 0-7 from three.
Chit-Chat Wright, meanwhile, started all 31 games in which she played this past season. The 5-4 Atlanta, Georgia native averaged 12.5 points per game, finished second on the team with 138 assists and she shot 44.0 percent from three, making 70-of-159 attempts.
