IOWA CITY, Iowa – Addie Deal will stay in the Big Ten Conference to continue her college basketball career.
The former Iowa guard, and former five-star recruit, announced Wednesday on Instagram that she has committed to Wisconsin.
Deal is among five former Iowa players that entered the transfer portal shortly after the end of the 2025-26 season.
The Irvine, California native played in all 34 games for Iowa this past season, making three starts.
She averaged 5.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while playing an average of 15.6 minutes per game.
Deal made the Big Ten All-Freshmen team, but she also struggled at times in her only season as a Hawkeye, shooting just 29.7 percent from 3-point range and having more turnovers (59) than assists (56).
Deal will now join a Wisconsin program that has lost 32 straight games against Iowa.
Former Hawkeye guard Callie Levin was also among the five players that entered the transfer portal, and she announced recently that she will transfer to Northern Iowa to resume her playing career.
