Home of Iowa offensive coordinator Tim Lester damaged in fire

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The home of University of Iowa offensive coordinator Tim Lester was damaged in a fire Thursday morning.
Firefighters from Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Solon, West Branch, Tiffin, Oxford, Hills, Swisher, and Lone Tree all responded to the residence at 3686 Forest Gate Drive near North Liberty just before 8:00 Thursday morning a three-alarm blaze. Smoke could be seen coming from the second floor, and a ceiling reportedly collapsed.
No one was home at the time, and a pet iguana was rescued. One firefighter suffered minor injuries. Crews were on the scene until just after 12:45 Friday morning.
No cause or damage estimate has been released.
Lester is entering his third season as the Iowa offensive coordinator.
