AH-TV: Kirk Ferentz, Iowa players talk after Kids Day practice
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa football team held its annual Kids Days practice on Saturday before an estimated crowd of more than 11,000 at Kinnick Stadium.
The gates opened at 11 a.m. and the players then spent an hour signing autographs before practicing for more than two hours.
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz and several players met with the media after practice to update the team’s progress.
Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard also gave an update on his health status. He had a scare in practice this week when a player rolled up on his knee, causing a slight sprain. But it could’ve much worse as Beathard only missed two days of practice.
He wore a brace on Saturday, but showed good mobility.
