IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa coaches moved Josey Jewell around the second level of its defense multiple times last season. The sophomore from Decorah (Iowa) High has since settled into the middle linebacker slot for the Hawkeyes.
Jewell looked bigger, stronger and faster at Saturday’s annual Kids Day practice here at Kinnick Stadium than he did a year ago. He showed a high comfort level in naturally flowing to the ball and anchoring the defense from the middle.
