AH TV: Grapple on Gridiron Interviews
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa wrestling team started its season in style Saturday. The Hawkeyes knocked off top-ranked Oklahoma State, 18-16, in front of a record crow at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Iowa established a new NCAA dual meet mark as 42,287 people piled into the historic football venue. Sammy Brooks (184) tech falled Jordan Rogers putting the No. 4 Hawkeyes ahead to stay. Thomas Gilman (125) started things off for the home team with a 9-1 major decision against Eddie Klimara.
