AH-TV: Iowa players reflect on another early exit from Big Ten Tournament
INDIANAPOLIS – The Iowa men’s basketball team entered Thursday’s game against No. 12 seed Illinois as a 10.5 favorite.
It didn’t matter, though, as Illinois pulled off the upset, winning 68-66 in the second-round of the Big Ten Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
This marks the third year in a row that Iowa, which was seeded fifth, has lost its first game in the conference tournament. The players now have to wait until Sunday to learn their NCAA Tournament destination.
With Thursday’s loss, Iowa blew any chance of playing in Des Moines in the NCAA Tournament.
