IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa men’s wrestling team will face Northern Iowa on Dec. 11 at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa, as Journeymen Wrestling presents “Dual in the Dome”.
“We are fired up to wrestle UNI again,” Iowa head coach Tom Brands said. “This is an important dual for our team, our fans and the entire state of Iowa. Opportunities like this are good for wrestling, and we are excited to be part of it.”
The dual will be the first of a home-and-home series between the programs. The Hawkeyes and Panthers are scheduled to meet again during the 2027-28 season at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. A date for the return dual has not been announced.
The 2026 matchup will mark the 55th meeting all-time between Iowa and Northern Iowa and the first since 2011. The teams first met in 1930, and Iowa leads the all-time series, 44-8-2.
