AH-TV: Tom Brands, Iowa wrestlers talk about preparing for NCAA Championships
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa wrestling team will join the Iowa men’s men’s basketball team in the Big Apple this weekend.
The Iowa wrestling team is considered one of the top contenders heading into the NCAA Championships, which will start at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The Iowa men’s basketball team will face Temple in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Five Hawkeye wrestlers are seeded fourth or better, including No. 2 seeds Cory Clark (133), Brandon Sorensen (149), and Sammy Brooks (197). Thomas Gilman (125) and Nathan Burak (197) are both No. 4 seeds. Clark and Brooks both won individual titles at the Big Ten Championships last week.
