AH-TV: Iowa players meet with the media after Saturday’s scrimmage
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa football team held an open practice on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium to mark the end of spring drills.
Starting quarterback C.J. Beathard was withheld from Saturday’s practice because of a shoulder injury, which he sustained in a recent practice. Beathard said there were some anxious moments after the injury occurred, but he was relieved when an MRI showed no structural damage.
Perhaps the biggest story on Saturday involved Iowa’s two freshman quarterbacks. Ryan Boyle has switched to receiver for the time being in order to get on to the field sooner, while fellow freshman quarterback Drew Cook saw extensive action during Saturday’s scrimmage.
Here are multiple interviews with select Iowa players from after Saturday’s scrimmage. Boyle and Cook were not made available to the media.
