Mississippi WR Brandon Smith commits to Iowa
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Four-star running back Eno Benjamin has taken on the role of ambassador for the Iowa football team’s 2017 recruiting class.
Benjamin committed to Iowa on May 6 and has since reached out to recruits from across the country to promote the Hawkeyes.
His influence seems to have worked with Lake Cormorant, Miss., receiver Brandon Smith, who announced his commitment to Iowa on Sunday after visiting Iowa City this weekend and after having a conversation with Benjamin.
Smith had previously told AllHawkeyes.com that Iowa was at the top of his list of schools.

"Eno pretty much told me that I was needed," said Smith, who reached 6-foot-8 in the high jump this spring. "I really just fell in love with the program when I made it there and met everyone.
"I really like it at Iowa. The coaches are very welcoming and it feels good to know that I’m a Hawkeye."
Smith was the second recruit to commit to Iowa on Sunday.
Defensive back Camron Harrell, a native of Bradley, Ill., announced his commitment Sunday afternoon.
Iowa now has 12 players committed to its 2017 recruiting class. The number could grow to 13 on Monday depending on what California receiver Maurice Bell decides. He has trimmed his list to Iowa, Colorado and Washington State and is expected to announce his decision on Monday.
