AH-TV Iowa FB players talk about summer progress and the newcomers
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Select members of the Iowa football team met with the media on Wednesday to update the progress that is being made during summer workouts.
Junior offensive lineman Sean Welsh was one of the players interviewed. Iowa’s new starting center talked about making the move from guard to center and about his rise to stardom. Welsh has combined to start 23 games over the past two seasons at both guard and tackle.
Other players interviewed on Wednesday were defensive back Miles Taylor, receivers Matt VandeBerg and Riley McCarron, defensive end Matt Nelson and defensive tackle Nathan Bazata.
The players talked about the summer grind and about their 7-on-7 scrimmages. They also provided some insight on the incoming freshmen who are now on campus.
